I've been fortunate to call Sanibel Island home since 2004. My husband and I discovered this special place during a cross-country trip, instantly fell in love with its natural beauty and unique character, and within a week, we had purchased a home. More than two decades later, Sanibel remains the place we proudly call home, where we've raised our family, built lasting friendships, and become deeply connected to the island community.
Originally from the former Czechoslovakia, I earned a bachelor's degree in Human Resources and Economics and an MBA from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia. Before beginning my real estate career, I spent years in senior management positions with U.S. multinational corporations in Europe, including roles in human resources, business operations, and management consulting. Living and working internationally gave me a broader perspective, strong negotiation skills, and an appreciation for different cultures and business practices that continue to influence my approach to real estate today.
My interest in real estate developed naturally through a lifelong appreciation for architecture, design, and beautiful homes. Extensive travel throughout Europe and the United States, along with personal experience in home renovations and new construction projects, further deepened that interest and eventually inspired me to pursue real estate professionally.
Today, as a Broker Associate with Royal Shell Real Estate, I specialize in luxury homes, waterfront properties, and distinctive island real estate on Sanibel and Captiva, while proudly serving buyers and sellers throughout Southwest Florida.
Having lived on Sanibel for more than 20 years, I offer firsthand knowledge of our island communities, coastal lifestyles, and the unique considerations involved in owning property near the water. From Gulf-front estates and waterfront residences to beachfront condominiums, second homes, investment properties, and primary residences, I understand that every property and every client has a different story.
My approach combines local market expertise, strategic marketing, strong negotiation skills, and careful attention to detail. I believe that successful real estate representation is about much more than completing a transaction. It's about understanding my clients' goals, providing honest and thoughtful advice, anticipating challenges, and helping them make informed decisions with confidence.
Professional development and industry involvement are equally important to me. I hold the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS), and Sanibel & Captiva Islands Specialist (SCIS) designations, along with the National Association of REALTORS® Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement. These credentials reflect my commitment to continuing education and staying informed about the evolving real estate industry.
I am also actively involved in the leadership of the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® (SCIAR), currently serving as Treasurer, a member of the Board of Directors, and a member of the MLS Committee. I am honored to have been selected to serve as the Association's President-Elect in 2027. Through these roles, I contribute to the professional standards, industry initiatives, and important issues affecting our local real estate community.
Having witnessed the evolution of Sanibel, Captiva, and the surrounding Southwest Florida communities over the past two decades, I understand both the enduring appeal of our coastal lifestyle and the challenges that can come with property ownership in this unique environment. This perspective allows me to offer clients practical insight that goes beyond market statistics and property listings.
Outside of real estate, I enjoy traveling, exploring architecture and design, spending time with my family, and supporting the community that has given us so much over the years.
